Rules

4 Sport Fantasy Rules

General

Football and baseball will be head 2 head and hockey and basketball will be rotisserie.
ESPN scoring rules – no disputes.
Rules can be amended at any draft by a league majority vote
Baseball, hockey and basketball max games will mirror regular season games for each starting spot

COLLUSION will not be tolerated.  If half of the league believes collusion has occurred, either a warning will be issued
and the owner(s) will forfeit their first round pick for the following year or the owner(s) will be ejected from the league for
gross violations as determined by the commish and league feedback.  A second occurrence will result in ejection from
the league.  If you not sure if it's collusion, it probably is.

Draft

  • One draft will be conducted each year and will include all unprotected players from baseball, basketball, football
and hockey – Initial Draft includes all players. ALL DRAFTS WILL BE LIVE. 2022 DRAFT TO BE JULY 16.

  • You can draft ANY professional baseball player. If a minor league player is chosen and isn’t on the opening day
roster, you may maintain his rights by keeping an open roster spot (since he may not be able to be added to
your team until call up). If you fill the roster spot you lose his rights and he will enter waivers upon call up or
eligible for draft the following year.

  • Draft order will be selected just prior to draft by lottery. Your place in the overall standings for that year will
correlate to the number of lottery chips you get. When your chip is pulled you get to select your draft slot. New
owners will receive one chip in the lottery.

  • Initial waiver order for each sport determined by order of first pick specific to that sport (ex. 3rd player baseball
player taken is 10 waiver at start of baseball season - assuming 12 teams).

  • Last place finisher from prior season will not be included in the draft lottery and will get the last draft slot remaining

Rules Updates

All rules are updated annually during a scheduled rules meeting prior to the draft date.  New rules may be proposed and will be voted on by the attendees at the rules meeting.  Majority rules.  Tie votes do not become rules.

  • Prior to each draft after initial draft, each owner must keep 12 players. Any 12 players can be kept regardless of
sport. Protected players will be due 1 week prior to the draft (email notification will be sent).

  • Players can be kept the number of times corresponding to the round they were drafted (round drafted is
essentially the number of years in their contract). So a first round pick can be kept one time and a 20th round
pick can be kept 20 times.

  • Players selected in an expansion draft maintain their current contract.

  • Contracts transfer with a player when they are traded.

  • A player’s contract does not reset until they are put back in the draft pool or placed on waivers.

  • Players picked up off waivers or free agency can be kept 1 time for $10 fee payable to league winner. If a player that was picked off free agency or waivers is traded he may be kept one time (player must have gone undrafted during that season's draft) with no fee. This player cannot be kept by the owner that picked him up under any circumstances (no trade backs for keeps). Once this player is kept one time, he must re-enter the draft pool.

Fees

Each owner is responsible for paying $200 entry fee

  • $225 due at the draft

  • Transaction fees are due at following year draft

  • All transaction fees go to running the league and will be spent by the subsequent years draft

Each player added to your team will cost $0.25 per add.  Each player received in trade costs $0.25.  No baseball
transaction fees are accrued 1 week before the draft for the following year since the draft will be before the end of
baseball season.

Final Standings & Payout

Points will be awarded at the end of each sports season in the inverse order of standings. First place will receive
12 points (if there are 12 teams) and last place will receive 1 point. The first place team also receives 1 bonus
point for winning the championship for a total of 13 points.

  • The team with the most total points accumulated from the 4 sports at the end of the fantasy season (at next draft) wins 1st place.

  • Football – season ends when you're team is eliminated from playoffs. Playoff teams must play until the lose (or finish first)

  • Season ends the morning of the next years draft

  • Overall Tiebreakers

    • If two teams have the same number of points at the end of our fantasy season,
      the tiebreakers are (in order):

      • Individual sport 1st place finishes

      • Hockey goals + Baseball HR + (Football Wins X 20) + Basketball blocks

      • Split prize money

End of Fantasy Season Payout (at next years draft) – assuming 12 teams

  • 1st place – $1,200 in prize money

Trades & Deadlines

  • Trades are allowed between sports

  • Draft picks can only be traded between when keepers lock and the end of the draft.

  • When a trade is made, send an email to the league by reply all to latest message. There is no trade veto voting process but a league manager can pause a trade and put it up for voting by league members (6 votes veto trade).

  • If you trade a player during the season you cannot trade for him back during the entirety of the season.

Trade deadlines

  • No football player can be traded between the final whistle of week 15 and the opening whistle of the first week of the NFL playoffs.

  • No baseball, basketball, or hockey trade deadline for 2023 draft season.

Expansion Rules (Assuming 2 Teams)

In the event there is league expansion in the future:

  • Each owner will get 4 total protections for the expansion year draft instead of 12

  • Current teams will provide a list of 15 players with 4 keepers designated.

  • When a current team has a player taken by an expansion team, they protect 4 additional players.

  • When a current team has a second player taken by an expansion team, they protect 2 additional players

  • Each expansion team must take one player from each of the 10 current teams

  • Each current team can only lose 2 players to expansion

  • Expansion teams will get one token in the draft lottery

Football

  • Individual game ties are allowed – no tiebreakers

  • Top six teams make playoffs. All teams in 1 division. Top 2 teams get bye in week 15

  • Round 1 of playoffs Week 15, Round 2 of playoffs is Week 16, Super Bowl is Week 17. No games week 18

  • Season ending tie breakers are head to head record, then total points, then single player with most points.

  • After initial waiver order is set, waivers will not reset. When waiver claim made team goes to bottom of waiver list.

  • Regular season is 14 weeks. Your team’s final standing is determined when playoffs start and your team is eliminated

but playoff teams must play out after losing first game for final seeding (losers bracket).

  • Season tie breakers are in order: head to head record, total points, total points against (highest wins)
